Fast & Healthy
Canadian consumers are increasingly on the go and looking for nutritious meal options in a hurry. The foodservice industry responds to this need by providing fast, easy and affordable fresh fruit and vegetable options such as bagged salads, fresh cut vegetables.
Ethnic Foods
As Canada becomes a more global community, we are exposed to new flavours and food options, including more exotic fruits and vegetables, and Canadian consumers are responding. Consumers now have easy access to a growing market of diverse ethnic foods at specialty stores and restaurants that offer exotic fruits and vegetables, recipes and types of cuisine.
Organic Produce
Detailed information about the trend in Organic produce is available in a trends document compiled by CPMA as well as part of the Fresh Facts series.
